This site is dedicated to the memory of Dorothy Walker.

Dorothy Walker was diagnosed with lung cancer in September 2006. Less than two months later, on 2 November 2006, she died in the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, surrounded by her family. Her husband John and sons Craig and Andrew couldn't be more proud of Dorothy. She had a great impact on all of our lives and we miss her enormously. The memories we have of a loving wife, mother, grandma to Carl and mother-in-law to Janet and Helen are priceless. Dorothy was also known to many as 'Mrs Walker', when she worked as a school dinner lady at the local Whale Hill primary school. Cooking was a passion as members of the Walker extended family will testify. Her chocolate eclairs graced many a family birthday, wedding or christening. Her son Andrew puts his love of cooking down to watching his mother in the kitchen as a boy but he has yet to tackle baking a chocolate eclair! This tribute fund has been set up in memory of Dorothy to help raise awareness of lung cancer and to raise much needed funds to help tackle the disease. When she was alive, Dorothy was always looking to help other people. Help us to honour her memory by financing the fight against lung cancer. Together we can defeat it.
